Our commitment
Everyone publishes mistakes eventually. What distinguishes honest publications from dishonest ones is whether those mistakes are corrected openly and whether the correction log is visible to readers. We commit to both.
Specifically:
- Every correction submission receives a response within ten working days.
- When a material factual change is made to a published article, a dated correction note is added at the bottom of the piece.
- When the change is substantive (affects a ranking order, a key claim about a company, or a technical specification), it is recorded in the public corrections log below.
- We do not silently edit rankings, substitute companies, or rewrite history without noting the change.
What counts as a correction
We consider the following as correctable errors:
- Factual errors — a wrong year, a misidentified source, an incorrect technical specification, a miscounted figure.
- Misattribution — a quote, opinion, or position attributed to a person or company that did not say it.
- Misrepresentation — a fair summary that, on examination, distorts the position of the party described.
- Material omission — the absence of a fact that, if present, would meaningfully change a reader's conclusion.
We do not treat editorial judgments themselves as corrections. Our ranking positions are arguments, not measurements, and reasonable people can disagree with them. If you think a ranking is wrong but our underlying facts are right, the right channel is a letter to the editorial desk rather than the corrections address. We publish selected reader disagreements when they meaningfully engage with the argument.
How to submit a correction
Send an email to corrections@glulam-construction-companies-in-st-petersburg.com with the following:
- The URL of the article in question.
- The specific passage or claim you believe is incorrect. Quote it directly if possible.
- What you believe the correct fact to be.
- The source of your information. For factual corrections we require a verifiable source; we cannot correct a published article based on unverified private knowledge.
- Your name and role, if relevant. We accept anonymous submissions but weight them differently.
Submissions that meet these requirements are read by the fact-checking editor and at least one member of the senior editorial team. If we agree with the correction, the change is made and logged. If we do not, we reply explaining why.
Corrections we will not make
Being candid about this prevents misunderstandings:
- We do not remove factual but unflattering content. A true statement about a company's legal history, for example, is not a correction target. It is part of the record.
- We do not remove companies from rankings on request. If a company believes it should not be listed in a ranking, we consider that as an editorial question rather than a correction. Requests of this kind should go to the editorial desk, not the corrections address.
- We do not re-order rankings to resolve commercial disputes. Methodology is the only argument that matters. A commercial dispute with a covered company does not constitute grounds for re-ranking.
