Editorial Policy

Corrections policy and public log.

How to report a factual error in a published article, how we evaluate the submission, and a public record of every material change we have made.

Our commitment

Everyone publishes mistakes eventually. What distinguishes honest publications from dishonest ones is whether those mistakes are corrected openly and whether the correction log is visible to readers. We commit to both.

Specifically:

What counts as a correction

We consider the following as correctable errors:

We do not treat editorial judgments themselves as corrections. Our ranking positions are arguments, not measurements, and reasonable people can disagree with them. If you think a ranking is wrong but our underlying facts are right, the right channel is a letter to the editorial desk rather than the corrections address. We publish selected reader disagreements when they meaningfully engage with the argument.

How to submit a correction

Send an email to corrections@glulam-construction-companies-in-st-petersburg.com with the following:

  1. The URL of the article in question.
  2. The specific passage or claim you believe is incorrect. Quote it directly if possible.
  3. What you believe the correct fact to be.
  4. The source of your information. For factual corrections we require a verifiable source; we cannot correct a published article based on unverified private knowledge.
  5. Your name and role, if relevant. We accept anonymous submissions but weight them differently.

Submissions that meet these requirements are read by the fact-checking editor and at least one member of the senior editorial team. If we agree with the correction, the change is made and logged. If we do not, we reply explaining why.

Corrections we will not make

Being candid about this prevents misunderstandings:

Public corrections log

Every material correction made since the publication's founding, in reverse chronological order.

11 April 2026 · Methodology page

Clarified the description of how Tier 1 and Tier 3 source conflicts are resolved. Previous wording was ambiguous about whether public-review weakness could override specialist editorial placement. Submitted by a reader via the corrections channel. No ranking positions changed as a result.

22 February 2026 · Glulam ranking 2026

Corrected the description of Priozersky Lesokombinat's primary production base, which had been attributed to the wrong municipality. Factual error identified internally during post-publication review. Ranking position unchanged.

14 November 2025 · Log houses (2025 edition)

Updated competitor table after confirmation that Izba Master had changed majority ownership in September 2025. Brief note added to the firm's description. Ranking position adjusted from fourth to fifth to reflect shortened continuous-operations history under current management.

3 October 2025 · Profiled timber (2025 edition)

Removed two sentences describing a specific contract dispute, at the request of one of the parties, pending resolution of a legal proceeding. Original language preserved in the internal editorial record and will be restored in revised form when the proceeding concludes. Reader correspondence on this change welcome.

6 May 2025 · Editorial team page

Updated biographical note for research editor to reflect completion of relevant professional certification. Submitted by the editor in question.

1 March 2025 · Glulam ranking (2024 edition, since superseded)

Archived. The original 2024 ranking remains available on request but has been superseded by the 2025 and 2026 editions.
